Environmental Fund
The purpose of the UMFÍ Environmental Fund is to support environmental projects by clubs or individuals within the youth association movement. The application deadline is 15 April each year. Grants are announced before 15 May of the same year. The condition for grants is that the recipient is a member/club of UMFÍ and the project is an environmental project.
Allocation priorities
In line with the fund’s regulation, the fund’s board prioritises grants for environmental projects that:
- involve younger people.
- promote closer connections with Iceland’s nature.
- involve innovation in environmental protection and use.
Applicants are encouraged to read the fund’s guidelines and assessment criteria. An application must score at least 50 points to be considered eligible for a grant.
Applicants who receive a grant must submit a report using a specific final report form and send it to the UMFÍ service centre at umfi@umfi.is.
