The UMFÍ logo

UMFÍ’s flag is Hvítbláinn (the White-Blue), the flag of Icelanders before the Icelandic national flag was officially confirmed by royal decree on 19 June 1915.

UMFÍ’s ceremonial emblem is Hvítbláinn on a leaf with the movement’s letters. The leaf symbolises UMFÍ’s motto from the beginning, which refers to the movement’s environmental and social awareness: Ræktun lýðs og lands (Cultivation of people and land). The ceremonial emblem is used on festive occasions and holidays.

The UMFÍ letters are used on the movement’s printed material.
