Regulation on the UMFÍ Encouragement Awards
- The UMFÍ Encouragement Awards are a recognition presented at the UMFÍ Federation Congress, and at the UMFÍ Federation Council Meeting in years when the Federation Congress is not held.
- The UMFÍ Encouragement Awards are given for notable and progressive projects that stand out, or for selfless work for the community.
- Up to three awards may be given each time.
- The UMFÍ Encouragement Awards may be received by a member federation, a member club of a member federation, a department within a member club or an individual within a member club.
- The Encouragement Awards consist of a certificate and a sum of money decided by the board each time. If the recipient is an individual, their club also receives a certificate.
- The UMFÍ office shall call for nominations for the Encouragement Awards among member federations no later than six weeks before the Federation Congress or Federation Council Meeting. Each member federation may submit up to five nominations. Nominations must reach the UMFÍ office no later than three weeks before the Federation Congress or Federation Council Meeting.
- The UMFÍ Board decides who receives the Encouragement Awards each time, by simple majority. The UMFÍ Board may also, on its own initiative, give Encouragement Awards without nomination.
- A list of recipients of the UMFÍ Encouragement Awards, with a short description of each project, shall always be available on the UMFÍ website.
